WHAT ARE PIANO LESSONS LIKE?
Josie offers a free first interview lesson to say hello and to get to know your child - his or her learning style, likes and preferences, reasons for starting piano lessons, and musical goals. We explore a variety of musical activities so you can experience what piano lessons with Josie are like.
Music lessons are all about making music!
Our piano lesson activities might include warm-ups, learning pieces by rote, memorisation, reading music, clapping rhythms, piano technique, creative activities (such as playing by ear), singing, theory game apps, listening to music, home practice guidance, practising performing etc.
Lessons are filled with laughter, enjoyment and real engagement with the music, whatever its level or style.
Online lessons have exactly the same content, carefully adapted to the online lesson environment. In-person lessons are best for beginners and younger children. Teenagers and those with previous experience of piano lessons may prefer online lessons, the choice is yours!
