Most music lessons are typically 30 minutes long, once a week.
Did you know that there are 168 hours in the 7 days between each weekly music lesson? Or over 10,000 minutes of non-lesson time in a week?
Staggeringly, that's only 0.3% of the week devoted to lesson time with your teacher. Which means 99.7% of your progress is down to you, at home.

Unlike many other pursuits including dance, sport, social activities in clubs and teams, etc., learning a musical instrument involves much more time working on building skills by yourself at home, rather than with your teacher.
However skilled, experienced and fabulous your music teacher is, ultimately 99.7% of what you achieve comes down to what you do in those 168 hours between your weekly lessons.
What you practice, and how you practice, really counts.
